SPR Announces the Promotion of Joyce E. Kung to Principal
Sive, Paget & Riesel is pleased to announce the promotion of Joyce E. Kung as principal.
“Based on her exemplary work, accomplishments and breadth of skills, we are delighted to announce the elevation of Joyce Kung to principal,” said SPR co-founder David Paget.
Joyce focuses on renewable energy, environmental regulation, and transactions. She has experience guiding lenders and developers through the intricacies of renewable energy financing and project development. Joyce has provided counsel to NYSERDA regarding matters connected to the New York Offshore Wind Master Plan. She has also advised clients on a spectrum of environmental concerns, from stormwater discharges and underground storage tanks to remediation under the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA) and the New York State Brownfield Cleanup Program.
Principal Marc Reisler also added, “our clients rely on Joyce to guide them through complex renewable energy financings and development transactions. Her well-deserved elevation will help SPR to grow its renewables practice to meet the challenges of the energy transition.”
In addition, Joyce has been instrumental in the development and coordination of the firm’s formal mentorship program. Outside of SPR, she was elected in 2017 to the Board of Directors of Acadia Center, a non-profit organization that advocates for systemic climate and clean energy solutions and has served as the Board’s Secretary and Chair. Joyce also volunteers as the Donations Coordinator for Danbury Area Refugee Assistance, a non-profit organization that co-sponsors refugee families upon their arrival to the United States.
Please join us in congratulating Joyce on her promotion to principal, as SPR is extremely proud of her accomplishments and looks forward to supporting this next chapter of her career.
