SPR Congratulates Two Trees on the Reopening of the Domino Sugar Refinery
Sive, Paget & Riesel congratulates Two Trees Management Co. on the reopening of the Domino Sugar Refinery, which has been retrofitted into one of the most outstanding office venues in New York City. The now revitalized building was designed masterfully, as it preserves the historic façade of the Brooklyn landmark by placing a new glass building on the inside, with an impressive penthouse glass dome that affords panoramic views of the city. The building is expected to have net-zero carbon emissions and will participate in a private water reuse program to treat wastewater from the building. To read more about the project, click here.
SPR has had the privilege of working alongside Two Trees to assist in environmental permitting of the Domino Project, including Domino Park. The park lies adjacent to the Domino Sugar Refinery and the East River, with five acres of public space and stunning waterfront views.
As the nearby River Ring development project moves toward construction, SPR looks forward to continuing to work with Two Trees as environmental counsel. That distinctive project will expand and extend the Williamsburg accessible public waterfront and feature a unique in-water ecological tidal park complete with educational components and a sustainable design that will increase overall urban waterfront resiliency along the coast.
