SPR Principal Marc Reisler to Speak About Purchasing and Selling Renewable Energy Credits under the Inflation Reduction Act

On Thursday, August 1st from 1:00-2:30 PM, SPR Principal Marc Reisler will speak in a Strafford Live CLE Webinar entitled: “Purchasing Renewable Energy Credits Amid the Inflation Reduction Act: Deal Terms and Key Considerations.” Registration is available HERE.

Marc and his fellow panelists will discuss the current availability of renewable energy credits (RECs), and the Inflation Reduction Act’s (IRA) creation of a novel alternative for monetizing RECs through the one time-sale and transfer of certain renewable credits for cash under Section 6418 of the Internal Revenue Code. The webinar will also cover the new green energy tax incentives and requirements introduced by the IRA, options for structuring transfers to third parties, documentation requirements, and other important considerations when purchasing or investing in RECs.
